Harel Insurance Company to issue an injunction
Harel Insurance Company to issue an injunction temporarily prohibiting the Ashdod port from promoting a tender to select an international insurance broker.
The Be'er-Sheva District Court accepted the request of Harel Insurance Company to issue an injunction temporarily prohibiting the Ashdod port from promoting a tender to select an international insurance broker as part of mapping out the insurance plans for the port.
The request argued that blocking Israeli insurance companies and limiting the involvement in the tender for an international insurance broker damages the economic interests of the port by denying its ability to get a more commercial deal. As a result, this damages the public interest by not allowing equal opportunities and fairness for winning the tender through proper tender procedures and management.
Harel argues that the port's decision to hire an international broker contravenes the law.
Harel is represented by Senior Partner Gad Naschitz, Partner Orly Naschitz and Ram Pardes of our firm.
