Naschitz Brandes Amir Represents Petitioner in Large Scale Land Appropriation Compensation Claim
Naschitz Brandes Amir represented the Makhoul family in its final two petitions to the Israeli High Court of Justice claiming unjust land appropriation and requesting special compensation.
The Makhoul family filed three petitions regarding the above subject matter (the first of which was filed in 1978), the last two of which were through the representation of Naschitz Brandes Amir (1995 and 2005), claiming that land appropriation by the state for objectives subject to frequent and inconsistent amendments was subject to nullification and warranted special compensation. While rejecting the petition for nullification, the High Court of Justice criticized the state's conduct and decided in favor of the Makhoul family for special and enlarged monetary compensation of NIS 8 million.

The Naschitz Brandes Amir team included partners Peter Gad Naschitz, Orli Naschitz and Amit Mor.
