Naschitz Brandes Amir Bankruptcy Partner Serves as Trustee in the Large-Scale Mordechai Benjamin Restructuring
Naschitz Brandes Amir Bankruptcy Partner, Alona Baumgarten, served as trustee in the large scale restructuring of Mordechai Benjamin and Sons (1990) Ltd., one of Israel's largest infrastructure companies. Following the issuance of a stay of proceedings In November 2014, the Nazareth District Court issued its decision in January 2015 that the company, as well as a company owned quarry, be sold to a group of purchaers, and to White Sands Industries Ltd., respectively, in consideration for a total sum equalling approximately NIS 100 million, thus allowing the company to repay its creditors a large portion of its debt.
