Yaniv Baum is an associate at the firm's Intellectual Property practice. Yaniv has extensive knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP) law, including patents, designs and trademarks. He specializes in representing multinational clients in complex patent and trademark litigation and has vast experience in the field of Patent Term Extensions. Yaniv’s background in life sciences and laboratory work gives him a significant advantage in patent cases.
Yaniv has handled numerous patent litigation and prosecution matters for leading international pharmaceutical companies, some of which resulted in landmark decisions and precedents. He has also handled complex trademark and passing off disputes for leading international fashion, cosmetics, food and automotive companies, and was involved in precedential trademark cases relating to smell-alike scents and perfume rebottling.
Yaniv also advises companies on various IP-related legal and regulatory issues.
Prior to joining Naschitz Brandes Amir, Yaniv was an associate at Dr. Shlomo Cohen & Co., a well-known IP law firm, and a senior associate at the highly regarded IP department of Eitan Mehulal Sadot.
