Dalit Ben-Israel, head of Naschitz Brandes Amir's IT, Privacy & Data Protection practice and a leading member of the firm's Commercial Group, is a prominent expert in Computer, Information Technology, Cyber, Privacy, and Data Protection Law. She has deep experience representing corporations in a broad range of international and domestic corporate and commercial transactions, with a particular emphasis on information technology and technology transactions. Her broad scope of work includes drafting and negotiation of complex information technology transactions, including licensing, cloud, and SaaS offerings, Big Data, Open Source, outsourcing, and complex IT project agreements, as well as internet-related legal and contractual issues. She advises computer and software companies, IT service providers, media and communication companies, and hi-tech and commercial corporations.
Dalit is a seasoned expert in the field of cyber, privacy, and data protection, with a wealth of experience in regulatory compliance, drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements and procedures, handling data breach cases and security incidents, addressing spam issues, and providing guidance to insurance companies on cyber insurance coverage. She works closely with the firm's Hi-Tech, M&A, and Capital Markets practices on privacy and cyber due diligence and offers valuable transactional support in her areas of expertise. Additionally, she provides support to Naschitz Brandes Amir’s Litigation practice with privacy and spam-related litigation, including class actions. Dalit is also a frequent speaker and writer on various privacy and cyber-related topics and offers training on Israeli privacy and European data privacy legislation (largely GDPR) compliance issues.
Before joining Naschitz Brandes Amir, Dalit spent 26 years at Hermann Makov & Co., where she started as an associate and advanced to partner, ultimately leading the commercial department. Dalit has consistently earned recognition for her expertise, receiving rankings from Chambers Global for IT & Data Protection and recommendations by the Legal 500 EMEA for Commercial Transactions.
